Terms and conditions of sale

Version dated 17 October 2026, applicable to subscriptions taken out on or after this date

The essentials

1. Scope

These terms and conditions of sale (‘Terms of Sale’) apply to paid subscriptions to Classy entered into remotely on classy.college between the publisher identified in the legal notice (‘we’, ‘us’) and any individual acting for non-professional purposes (‘you’, ‘the customer’). They supplement the Terms of Use.

Before paying, you must accept the Terms of Sale by ticking the box provided. The applicable Terms of Sale are those in force on the day you take out your subscription; you can save or print them from this page.

Changing plans. Pro subscribers can switch to Max at any time from the “Plans” page, for the same billing period (monthly or annual): the price difference, calculated pro rata for the remaining period, is payable immediately, and Max takes effect upon payment. Switching back from Max to Pro takes effect immediately; the difference, calculated in the same way, is deducted from subsequent invoices.

Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes: they include the VAT applicable in your country of residence. No additional fees are charged. Any promotional codes apply subject to the conditions stated when they are distributed.

Referrals. An account that has entered a valid referral code before its first subscription receives a 20 % discount on that subscription for as long as it remains uncancelled. When the referred user pays for their first subscription, the referrer receives a 50 % discount for 3 months on their monthly subscription (for an annual subscription: the equivalent value, 7,49 €, as credit deducted from their next invoices); if they have no active subscription, the discount applies to their next subscription. Only one referral discount applies at a time; subsequent discounts take effect afterwards. Referral rules: Article 7 of the Terms of Use.

3. Subscribing

  1. Log in to your Classy account and open the “Plans” page.
  2. Choose your plan (Pro, Max or Group) and billing period (monthly or annual).
  3. Tick the box to accept the Terms of Sale and request immediate access to the service (see Article 6).
  4. On Stripe's secure payment page, check the summary (plan, price, renewal), enter your email address and payment details, then confirm by clicking the payment button, which states your obligation to pay.

The contract is concluded as soon as payment is confirmed. Your plan is activated immediately, and confirmation appears in the app. Stripe sends a receipt to the email address provided at checkout; this serves as confirmation of the order on a durable medium and links to these Terms of Sale. You can view your invoices at any time under “My account” > “Invoices and bank card”.

Your order details are archived by us and by Stripe under conditions designed to guarantee their integrity. You can access them on request (Article L. 213-1 of the French Consumer Code).

4. Payment

Payment is made by bank card or another method offered on the payment page, through our provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland), in a secure environment compliant with the PCI-DSS standard. We never have access to your card details.

Payment is taken in advance, when you subscribe and then at the start of each new billing period. If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it over the next few days; if payment is unsuccessful, the subscription ends and your account reverts to the Free plan, without losing any of your courses.

5. Term, renewal and cancellation

Term and renewal

The subscription is taken out for one month or one year, depending on the billing period selected. It automatically renews for the same term on each renewal date, at the current price, unless cancelled.

Annual subscription: in accordance with Article L. 215-1 of the French Consumer Code, we notify you in writing, no earlier than three months and no later than one month before the end of the current period, of your option not to renew your subscription. If this notice is not sent to you, you may end the subscription free of charge at any time from the renewal date, and any sums paid for the period after cancellation will be refunded within 30 days.

Cancellation by you

You can cancel at any time, without fees or having to give a reason, directly online: “My account” > “Cancel my subscription” (also accessible via the “Cancel a subscription” link at the bottom of every page), in accordance with Article L. 215-1-1 of the French Consumer Code. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, which has already been paid for: you keep your plan until that date, and no further payments are taken. An acknowledgement of your cancellation is displayed, and the end date is shown in “My account”.

Deleting your account ends your subscription immediately, with no refund for the current period (subject to your right of withdrawal).

Cancellation by us

We may terminate the subscription in the event of a serious breach of the Terms of Use (see Article 13 thereof), or if the service is permanently discontinued; in the latter case, we give you at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused portion of the paid period.

6. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without having to give a reason or pay a penalty.

When subscribing, you expressly request that the service begin immediately, before this period ends (by ticking a box). This choice does not cause you to lose your right of withdrawal: if you exercise it, you owe us only an amount proportionate to the service provided up to the point when you communicate your decision (Article L. 221-25), calculated pro rata based on the number of days elapsed in the paid period. The remainder is refunded to you.

How to withdraw

Before the deadline expires, send us an unambiguous statement:

You can use the model withdrawal form, but this is not compulsory. Include your Classy username so that we can find your subscription. We acknowledge receipt of your withdrawal without delay.

Refund

We refund you no later than 14 days after receiving your decision, using the same payment method you used to subscribe, unless you expressly agree to another method, and without any fees. The subscription ends on the date of withdrawal.

7. Group plan

The Group subscription holder is the sole customer and is solely liable for payment. They can add up to 4 members who have a Classy account, and remove them at any time, from ‘My account’. Each member enjoys the benefits of the Pro plan for as long as the holder's subscription is active. A member can leave the group at any time; their account then reverts to the Free plan.

8. Price changes

We may change our prices. The new price does not apply to the current period. For an active subscription, you will be notified in the app of any increase at least 30 days before the relevant renewal date; you can then cancel before that date, free of charge. If you do not cancel, the new price applies from the next renewal date.

9. Statutory guarantees

You benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Articles L. 224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) throughout the period during which the service is supplied. In the event of a lack of conformity, you can have the service brought into conformity free of charge; if this is impossible, does not take place within a reasonable time, or if the lack of conformity is serious, you can obtain a price reduction or terminate the contract with a refund. During the supply period, any lack of conformity that becomes apparent is presumed to exist, without you having to prove it.

AI-generated content may contain errors, which are inherent in the technology and clearly disclosed (Article 6 of the Terms of Use): an isolated error in an explanation does not, on its own, constitute a lack of conformity of the service. Report it: we will correct it as soon as possible.

10. Liability

We are strictly liable for the proper performance of the contract (Article L. 221-15 of the French Consumer Code), unless the failure to perform is attributable to you, to a third party unconnected with the provision of the service, or to an event of force majeure. The other liability provisions are set out in Article 12 of the Terms of Use.

11. Customer service and complaints

For any questions or complaints: contact@classy.college, the app's ‘Help and contact’ form, or by post to the address in the legal notice. We respond as soon as possible, and within 15 days at the latest.

12. Mediation and disputes

The Terms of Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, first submit a written complaint to our customer service team. If no solution is found within two months, you can refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator: [mediator's name, postal address, website] (Articles L. 612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). Mediation is optional. If no agreement is reached, you may bring proceedings before the court with jurisdiction, including the court for the place where you live.
